LYDIA. Tabala. Pseudo-autonomous issue. Assarion (Bronze, 23 mm, 6.28 g, 6 h), 2nd century AD. IЄPA CYNKΛHTOC Draped bust of the Roman Senate to right. Rev. TABAΛЄΩN / ЄPMOC The river god Hermos reclining left, holding reed in his right hand and cornucopia with his left and resting left on urn. Cf. SNG Copenhagen 562, SNG Leypold 1250 and SNG von Aulock 3190 (but all of differing style). A charming issue of beautiful style. Minor deposits and with light roughness, otherwise, good very fine.
